 Is facilitation calling you?

If you have been sitting with the question for a while, you are not alone. Most of the people who train with The Exhale Awakening have been quietly wondering about it for longer than they can remember. Wondering if they have enough experience, enough confidence, enough of whatever it is they think they might be missing.

The truth is there is no perfect moment to begin. There is only the breath, and the willingness to show up for it.

If something in you has been leaning toward training, a Quiet Conversation is where it begins. No commitment. No sales script. Just a gentle conversation with Sharyn with a Why and Marie Doherty to see if the timing is right for you

The Breathwork Facilitator Apprenticeship

The Breathwork Facilitator Apprenticeship is one 400-hour GPBA Recognised Training qualification with three routes. All taught by Sharyn with a Why and Marie Doherty. All fully online, which means you train without leaving Ireland.

400 hours is a serious commitment. It is also a formation: not just in how to hold a breathwork space, but in how to tend to yourself while you do it. The training covers facilitation craft, nervous system science, Celtic and elemental frameworks, and the practical reality of being a self-employed practitioner in the wellbeing world.

The Global Professional Breathwork Alliance (GPBA) recognition means the qualification is internationally recognised and sits within a defined professional standard. Both Sharyn with a Why and Marie Doherty are GPBA Accredited facilitators.

After completion, continuing with group support, supervision, and breathwork with The Exhale Awakening or Breathing Space for two years allows graduates to apply for GPBA Breathwork Practitioner designation.

Who you Train with.

SHARYN WITH A WHY

Breathwork practitioner, natural astrologer, and cosmic business coach, Sharyn with a Why brings the grounded clarity of a qualified corporate accountant alongside a deep and abiding love for Celtic wisdom and the slow intelligence of the seasons. She creates space where precision and softness sit comfortably side by side.

MARIE DOHERTY

A breathwork facilitator and natural Celtic medicine practitioner with thirty years of lived, embodied care as a teacher, Marie is the root system beneath the canopy. She brings the land, the lineage, and the kind of presence that lets you breathe a little deeper without quite knowing why.

Sharyn with a Why and Marie hold every session together. Their collaboration is the practice, two voices, one breath.

Training with roots in Donegal.

For Irish practitioners choosing the Retreat Apprenticeship, the Donegal Gathering is not a trip away. It is a return.

Marie Doherty grew up in Carndonagh, at the tip of the Inishowen Peninsula. When she holds space at Malin Head, where the land runs out and the Atlantic begins, the teaching carries the land in it. That is not a metaphor.

Three days. Care of your craft. Care of your practice. And a full day where nothing is required of you except to breathe and be held.

Retreat Apprenticeship. With an Irish home.

If facilitation is calling you, this is where it begins.

A Quiet Conversation is not a sales call. It is a gentle conversation with Sharyn with a Why and Marie Doherty: what training looks like, which route might fit your life, and whether the timing feels right. No pressure. No script. You leave with clarity, whatever you decide.

If you would like to read more before that step, the brochure is always there.
